Três homens pararam uma noite num motel e pediram 3 quartos separados.
O preço de cada quarto era €10,00 e, assim, os homens pagaram €30,00 no total.
No dia seguinte, o gerente verificou que os quartos podiam ser arrendados por €25,00. Mandou então o garçon devolver €5,00.
O garçon achou dificil dividir 5 por 3 e, por isso, deu €1,00 a cada homem, ficando com €2,00.
Após terem recebido €1,00 de volta, cada um dos homens acabou por pagar €9,00 por quarto, perfazendo um total de €27,00.
Ora, somando os €2,00 do garçon temos €29,00.
Mas eles pagaram €30,00 no início! O que aconteceu ao €1,00 que falta?

Three people check into a hotel. They pay $30 to the manager and go
to their room. The manager finds out that the room rate is $25 and
gives $5 to the bellboy to return. On the way to the room the bellboy
reasons that $5 would be difficult to share among three people so
he pockets $2 and gives $1 to each person.
Now each person paid $10 and got back $1. So they paid $9 each,
totalling $27. The bellboy has $2, totalling $29.
Where is the remaining dollar?
